Comments: The horse was previously diagnosed with EPM and had a chronic history of ataxia and muscle atrophy that did not improve with EPM treatment. The gelding was evaluated by the attending veterinarian who noted a small amount of urine and no feces was produced. The gelding had several periods of recumbency overnight and was found deceased in the morning. Necropsy was declined.
