Age: 4; Gender: Gelding; Breed: Quarter Horse (QH); Onset of Clinical Signs: 12/14/2025; Clinical Signs: This horse developed signs of "choke" due to swelling at the back of the throat from enlarged lymph nodes in that location. The horse tested positive for S. equi from a guttural pouch sample.; Confirmation Date: 12/17/2025; Horse Status: Recovering;
