Age: 3; Gender: Gelding; Breed: Miniature Horse; Onset of Clinical Signs: 7/28/2025; Clinical Signs: A 3 year old miniature horse gelding was referred for evaluation and treatment after developing fever and watery diarrhea. The gelding was hospitalized, tested positive for PHF and is recovering well. The previous week another horse on the property was treated on the farm for fever and diarrhea with oxytetracycline and supportive care and is also recovering.
